Cooper is Two!

Cooper turned two years old on May 3rd, he had a "construction" themed party because of his love of heavy machinery, trucks, and dirt. I think this current phase will be hanging around for quite awhile.

 Cooper's favorite things lately are being naked, pushing something (trucks, doll stroller, laundry basket, chairs, etc.) eating, wrestling with Bella, and playing in the dirt. He is talking up a storm and still has that cute deepish, gravelly voice that only gets higher when he says "love you!" He still likes being rocked to sleep at night and likes to give goodnight kisses by putting his face between each slat of his crib and kissing you down the whole length of it. He dislikes shopping, getting his diaper changed, getting his face and hands wiped, and not being able to drive. About a week ago he figured out how to climb out of his crib so I'm sure a big boy bed is in his near future. Potty training is going great...as long as he is naked. Put clothes on him and it's game over.

Still loves to swim but would rather not have to wear that life vest that is necessary for my fearless boy.

 

 

Coop is talking up a storm and every day he seems to have a new word or phrase in his vocabulary. Some of my favorites are "maybe tomowow" "pounded it" (when he finishes his food) "Have a nice day!" "sissy is naughty!" and "oh, Sowwy" (when you correct him) Cooper can still be a huge pill but lucky for him he is so stinkin' cute it's easy to forgive him. He's pretty independent and usually in a group of kids he's the one off by himself digging in the dirt or working on some "project" in which he's the only one that knows what's going on with it.

Size-wise he has pretty much caught up to Mia. They are both about 30 lbs, Coop is just a little shorter (for now) and they are in the same size shoe now (8).
